Our legal fees are broadly divided into (i) “retainer fees” and (ii) “remuneration”.
A “retainer fee” is a fee to be paid when a lawyer undertakes a matter, and payment of this fee is required regardless of the result. Therefore, even if we unfortunately
cannot obtain a result that meets a client’s request, the retainer fee will not be refunded.
“Remuneration” is a fee to be paid based on the outcome of the matter. The amount will be determined according to the financial benefit obtained as a result of negoti-ations or litigation carried out by a lawyer.
In addition, if a lawyer needs to appear in a court that is located beyond a certain distance, a “daily allowance” may be required. Also, please note that we require a
deposit to cover actual expenses incurred during the handling of a matter.
